Can I convert a Kindle book to PDF?

Yes — for Kindle Personal Documents (epub/mobi/azw files you personally sent to your Kindle via Send to Kindle). Our EPUB to PDF tool handles these. For commercial Kindle books in the Kindle Store, those have DRM and cannot be converted. Personal-use conversion of books you own is allowed in most jurisdictions.

Why would I want to convert a Kindle book to PDF?

Common reasons: (1) read on non-Kindle devices like iPad or laptop, (2) share a passage with a co-reader without giving them your whole Kindle library, (3) print hard copies, (4) annotate with desktop PDF tools, (5) archive in your own file system outside Amazon's ecosystem.

Will my Kindle content be uploaded?

What about commercial Kindle books?

Do I lose Kindle highlights and notes?

Yes — Kindle annotations are stored in Amazon's cloud and are not embedded in the EPUB file. They won't transfer to the PDF. If you need to preserve them, use Kindle's 'Export Notes' feature (highlighted text + notes → plain text file) before converting.
