Will rotating a PDF reduce quality?

No. Rotation modifies the page rotation dictionary — pdf-lib does not re-render or recompress any content. All fonts, images, and text stay byte-identical except for the orientation metadata.

Can I rotate only some pages of a PDF?

Yes — the tool shows a thumbnail preview of each page. Click individual pages to rotate them independently. You can also rotate all pages by the same angle with one click. Mixed rotations are common for scanned documents where odd/even pages got scanned in opposite directions.

How is this different from the viewer's rotate button?

Adobe Reader, Preview, and other viewers have a 'rotate' button that only affects how YOU see the file. When you send the PDF to someone else, it opens in the original orientation. Our tool writes the rotation into the file itself, so the new orientation is the default for everyone, everywhere.

Can I rotate a scanned PDF?
