Upload Contract PDF: Drop the PDF contract in. The tool accepts any PDF: standard contracts, multi-page agreements, scanned contracts. We process 1-100 page documents without issues.
Place Signature: Click on the signature line position to add a signature box. Drag it to the right spot on the page. Resize if needed. Add date, initials, name, or title as separate text fields if required.
Sign (Type or Draw): Three signing modes: type your name (rendered in 5+ signature-style fonts), draw with mouse/touch on a canvas, or upload a scan of your handwritten signature. All three are saved locally and embedded in the PDF.
Save Signed PDF: Click 'Save'. The signed PDF is downloaded with the signature burned into the page. Email it to the counterparty. Optional: add password protection via PDF Encrypt before sending confidential contracts.

Can I sign a contract PDF without uploading it?

Yes — our PDF Sign tool runs entirely in your browser. Drop your contract, place a signature, type/draw/upload your signature, save. The signed PDF is created locally via pdf-lib. No upload, no DocuSign account, no third-party storage.

Is an electronic signature legally binding?

In most jurisdictions (US, EU, UK, Canada, Australia, etc.), yes — under eIDAS in the EU and the E-SIGN Act in the US. Our signatures meet basic requirements: signer attribution, intent to sign, document integrity. For high-stakes agreements (real estate, certain regulated industries), consult a lawyer about additional requirements.

What's the difference between typed, drawn, and uploaded signatures?

Typed: type your name and we render it in a cursive-style font. Visually clean and easy to edit. Drawn: use mouse/finger/touch to draw your signature on a canvas. Most authentic-looking. Uploaded: scan your handwritten signature once (use a signature pad, paper scan, or photo) and reuse it across all future documents. All three are equally legally binding in most jurisdictions.

Can I save my signature for reuse?

Yes — once you create a signature (drawn or uploaded), our tool offers to save it to browser localStorage. Next time you sign a PDF, just pick your saved signature from the list. Stored only on your device, never sent anywhere.

Will the signed PDF look like the original?
