Drop Your XLSX: Drag any Excel file in. .xlsx (modern Excel format) is supported. For .xls (legacy), save as .xlsx first in Excel.
Set Page Settings: Choose page size (A4 / Letter / match Excel print settings). Set orientation (portrait / landscape / auto-fit to content). Configure 'Fit Sheet on One Page' to scale large spreadsheets to single page.
Convert Offline: Click 'Convert to PDF'. Excel is processed in your browser via SheetJS + pdf-lib. Works offline — disconnect from Wi-Fi after page load and conversion still completes.
Save: Download the PDF. Each Excel sheet becomes a separate PDF page (or use 'One Sheet Per Page' to control explicitly). Frozen panes, column widths, and basic formatting are preserved.

Can I convert XLSX to PDF offline?

Yes. Open our Excel to PDF tool, wait for it to fully load (libraries are cached), then you can disconnect from internet. The conversion runs 100% locally via SheetJS + pdf-lib — no upload, no Microsoft or Adobe servers.

Will my data be uploaded?

No. SheetJS processes the Excel file in your browser. Whether the spreadsheet contains personal financial data, customer lists, or proprietary models, the file stays on your device. The PDF is created locally.

How are multiple Excel sheets handled?

Each sheet becomes a separate PDF page by default. For workbooks with many sheets, you can use 'One Sheet Per Page' mode (default) or 'Combine all into one PDF'. Sheet names are preserved in the PDF page footer for navigation.

Does it preserve formatting?

Best-effort: column widths, header rows, basic cell formatting (bold, colors), and merged cells are preserved. Charts and conditional formatting may render less faithfully. For complex formatted workbooks, consider using Excel's native 'Save as PDF' if available — but for privacy-sensitive files, our browser-side tool is the only local option.

Can I set print area or fit-to-page?

Yes — pick 'Fit Sheet on One Page' or 'Fit Columns on One Page' to control scaling. Print area from your Excel workbook is detected and used by default. For very large sheets, you may want to split into multiple PDF pages instead of forcing fit-to-one-page.

Does it work for .xls (legacy Excel)?

Not directly. Modern Excel defaults to .xlsx since 2007. To convert .xls files, open in Excel and save as .xlsx first, then use our tool. .xls (binary format) is rarely needed today.
