Can I rotate multiple PDF pages at once?

How do I rotate odd and even pages differently?

Common for duplex scans where one side got scanned upside down. Select the odd-numbered pages, apply 180°, then select even-numbered pages and apply 0° (no rotation). Or use the 'invert current selection' shortcut if your tool supports it. Our batch mode handles 500+ pages in seconds.

Can I rotate all pages by the same angle?

Yes — use the 'rotate all pages' button. Common use cases: convert a landscape-only document to portrait, or fix a document where every page was scanned in the wrong orientation. One click rotates all pages uniformly.

Will rotation work on large PDFs?

Yes — pdf-lib handles large documents efficiently because rotation only modifies a small metadata dictionary per page (no content re-rendering). Documents with 500+ pages typically process in under 5 seconds. Files larger than the browser's memory limit (rare, ~2GB) won't load.

Can I rotate a PDF and keep text searchable?

Yes — rotation modifies only the page orientation metadata. Text layers, annotations, form fields, and bookmarks remain searchable and selectable. For OCR (creating a searchable text layer from a scanned PDF), use our separate OCR PDF tool.

Does rotation affect PDF quality?

No. Rotation modifies the page rotation dictionary — pdf-lib does not re-render, recompress, or alter content. Fonts, images, vector graphics, and text stay byte-identical except for the orientation metadata.

Is there a daily limit?
