NordPass
After password-protecting your PDF, store the password in NordPass so you never have to remember it yourself.
Strong PDF passwords are unusable if they live in a notes app — a password manager keeps them encrypted and autofill-ready.

Have PDFs that block printing, editing, or text copying? Our browser-side tool removes the owner-password restrictions so you can freely print, edit, and copy text from the document. No upload, no sign-up, runs entirely in your browser. Ideal for archiving permission-restricted PDFs into a normal readable workflow.

Drag the restricted PDF into our tool and click 'Remove Encryption'. The tool strips the owner-password permissions dictionary using pdf-lib locally — no password required, no upload. The output opens in any reader with print, copy, and edit fully enabled. Original content stays byte-identical.
Yes — our Remove Encryption tool is free, no sign-up, no upload, no watermark. It works entirely in your browser via pdf-lib. We support removing print restrictions, copy restrictions, edit restrictions, and form-fill restrictions set via the standard PDF owner-password mechanism.
No. The operation only strips the permissions dictionary that restricts what readers can do with the file. The pages, text, images, fonts, form fields, and annotations remain unchanged. The file is byte-equivalent except for the removed restrictions.
Our tool removes standard PDF owner-password restrictions (which restrict reader-side actions). It does NOT bypass third-party DRM systems like Adobe Digital Editions, Microsoft IRM, or publisher-specific DRM. It also does NOT crack open-passwords (user passwords) — those require the actual password to decrypt.
Open password (user password): you must enter it to view the PDF at all. Removing requires knowing the password. Owner password: it restricts what viewers can do with an opened PDF (print, copy, edit). Removing does NOT require the password — pdf-lib strips the restrictions dictionary directly.
Yes — drop several PDFs at once. Our batch mode processes them sequentially and returns a single ZIP. There is no daily limit and no per-file fee.
No. The tool runs entirely in your browser using pdf-lib. Files are never uploaded, never logged, never analyzed. After you close the browser tab, all state is cleared.
